History
Xmeco Heavy Engineering started out as a division of the Xmeco Group, that was established by John Exley Snr in Port Elizabeth in 1951. Despite Xmeco Heavy since becoming an independent entity we still work closely with Xmeco Foundry and Xmeco (Pty) Ltd, the former specialising in casting and moulding ferrous materials, while the latter specialises in non-ferrous materials.
Xmeco Heavy Engineering has been operational for over 20 years. The company was originally established to machine locomotive truck frames for the General Motors Locomotive Plant, as well as large-press tools for the automotive industry in Port Elizabeth.
We recently expanded our facilities to also service the pump and mining industry.
We pride ourselves on being able to deliver a complete package - designing, fabricating, casting and machining. Situated in Markman Township, alongside Xmeco Foundry, we are able to supply fully machined ferrous castings up to 18 tons.
